Construction support for semi-automated LPG bottle filling facility

OnGas contracted Neo to provide construction support for a new semi-automated LPG bottle refilling facility in Papakura, Auckland. The plant receives used bottles that are emptied, inspected, repainted and refilled ready for dispatch to swap-a-bottle distribution centres. The facility has the ability to process 600 9kg bottles per hour.

The required LPG is stored  in two 50 tonne bulk tanks and defined as a major hazard facility. To keep the employees and surrounding  area safe the plant has many safety systems, including gas detection, automatic shut down, breakaway couplings, timed fill, water deluge and barriers.

Neo provided assistance with electrical contractor queries, construction standards review, hazardous area documentation review and coordination between trades.
